I recently heard about the latest collaboration between Dogfish
Head and Sierra Nevada and my mouth was immediately watering. As you know I love my
IPAs and these two craft beer juggernauts are brewing an East-Meets-West Imperial
IPA called Rhizing Bines. (I love the play on words, by the way.) The much
anticipated release date was February, 2013 and I started my beer quest on
February 1, 2013.
I have been combing the local beer-getting places (refer to
previous beer quest articles) and sweet-talking the managers that handle
ordering but have had no luck thus far. I contacted several distributers who
gave me some good leads but I suspect the beer is getting snapped up as soon as
it hits the shelves.
I have a verbal from a beer purveyor 25 miles away that they
have several cases of Rhizing Bines in stock. Expected pick-up and celebration:
3/30/13, and if my luck continues, I may have a few surprises in store for you,
my faithful readers!
