About Me

Dietitian by trade, a second generation homebrewer and a lover of beer, food and health. I also have been known to do a little hula and Tahitian dancing, golf and play the ukulele (especially when brewing).

My beer education was cultivated over the years by attending excellent universities (“Eel River State”, “UC Sudwerks” and a “Masters at Sammy Adams”) in addition to the great friends that would seek out new-to-us craft brews on a weekly basis (OK, sometimes more often).

As a youngster, I would play in the garage among full 5 gallon glass carboys and was beginning my beer education without even knowing it. I have followed in my father’s footsteps by continuing the homebrewing legacy and trying my hand at developing my own recipes.

For a long time I tried to keep my professional life and love of beer separate.  But my true passion is both nutrition AND beer. So please join me in the fulfillment of my greatest wish: to be able to research, sample, and review anything beer-related, all with a healthy twist!
